South Shore (Free verse) by Rodavlas
Here, I've sank a hundred fathoms into a sea of sorrow. A solid darkness is abound around my eyes. Beneath the tide along the undertow the sandbar catches me, there goes my soul. Bellowing below, you hear me In comes your hands reaching. Saving my soul, you took your time to pick me up from this down inside. You shared your heart, now it's welded on mine. You brought me to the light, out of the depths of my own salted eyes.

Up the ladder: Checkmate
Down the ladder: Child Shaped Adult
