Interrogation #1086637 (Free verse) by MacFrantic
He broke down in midsentence Before an audience of two Presumptuous laughter stuttering To shameful tears Somewhat like admission But much less Dignified Amidst the confession burns A fire A light Slicing through his consciousness His collapsed reticence revealed Somewhere in Brooklyn Eleven shadows enjoy their last breath Chuckling through exit wounds As the feds sweep like wildfire But the rat can't sleep tonight His neck feels awkward The buckle tight against his throat

Down the ladder: To Orange
