funny man (Free verse) by roses are read
funny man, dressed in rags, hair billowing under a barrette, a typewriter in a case under his arm. "are you a smoking person?" he barks, diamonds dangling in his eyes. no, you reply, so he salutes, back straight for a moment. he wanders off, his friend the vindicator on one side, einstein on the other.

Up the ladder: My Son
Down the ladder: Cosmic Imbalance

This would be ok if you made things clearer. for example, 'diamonds dangling...' what's that symbolize? Also the last two lines, what does that mean?
