Fragments (Free verse) by 1Sapphire1
Fragments, that's all we have, of each other's life. I wish I could be more like you, and not be aware, but I would have to put on an act, pretend not to care, fine tune my aloofness, and never, picture us, as a pair. The worst thing about us, is that our hearts, don't work the same way. But mine is in the dark, and it can't figure out why yours, won't come out to play. We only have one fragile tie, that binds. And what will we have, when that unwinds? Bits and Pieces.

I don't think this is sweet, it's a harsh and bitter - and it's good because of that. Very psychologically aware of what happens between two people in an unequal relationship. Yes indeedy.
