forget me nots (Free verse) by killingjuliet
i planted a garden of forget me nots i watered them when the weather was hot to make sure they didn't wither and die while the sun blazed its reflection in my eye i bought myself a jesus doll and hung it from the basement wall carving into it two by two my semi-precious vicious wishes vicarious but true i cocooned myself into a leaf unfolding in mystery and disbelief as the rain came crashing down trying to imprint me into the ground but the rain just wasn't as strong as it should have been and my soul was too strong for nature to win it will never ever master my world of impeccable sin and i know it's all just a test to see who or what loves me the best and one day when the time is right i will witness my heart tearing bottom up into flight and when the hour presses start i will find the one who will refuse to depart he will know all of my ways and the earth will hear his silent praise the reasons why will all become clear redemption will be subtle and near

Up the ladder: wibble wibble honk
Down the ladder: Gnarly Knees
