Pushed to the limit of everything...Everything... (Free verse) by Hostileintent
That was the day I hit an all-time low, During that 24 hours, I learned more about myself than ever before Having not slept in one day times three, It slowed down so much did my body, It made things so hard to be the leader, A soldier- a leader- I was neither. That night I nearly cried- for it was so hard, My voice cracked- I really was'nt so hard, And they knew, Worst of all- everybody knew. The next day we came back to tidy, And the cloud in my head was mighty, A zombie. I was like a beaten- drugged- zombie, I was a bag of shit- not even a zombie. I felt like I had been here before, Though I knew I had not, All that abuse and punishment I had borne, I had been there. I knew I had not. On that day I cried- I laughed- and my body: it finally crashed and it died, My body, pushed to the limit this time, Four more times to tie. And this only the first...

New form proposal: The Poemranker.

Halfway through it decides to rhyme, forgets, then decides to again.
