Wrath (Free verse) by niyama

Revenge is so tempting smug in it’s little wrapper- a shiny thing to finger and toy with, to hide in the darkness of one’s breast pocket And it starts out sweet, just a small, hard indulgence, rolling harmlessly, sucked and savored, tucked in the tender fold between the tongue and cheek But remember when you grin and set your teeth against its squeaky edge, there are no do-overs once you break the skin and bite down hard Once it’s done, what was inside comes gushing out and it’s just too much to swallow and has a tendency to stain your tongue and make your belly throb with an ache you’ll never quite forget.

I am not Shuushin, really, and I'm not just voting what he voted, really. This is silly (not the poem; it is good). :)
