Cherry Blossoms (anti-haiku) (Free verse) by middenHeap

In the time of the cherry blossoms, without warning The sky turns leaden and opens Slurries of western words, driven like snow Swirl through the sullen petals Turning the careful fractal economy of beauty Into sodden masses of pink, run through with Carbon from the exhausts of a million cars. Neon glints in the wet bark, black Beetles scrabble furiously to avoid drowning. A ragged asiatic man reels in the road and ends sitting With a thud against a cherry trunk Blooded by obfuscation. He splays his fingers on the ice-wet asphalt, Palms sliding in the flower flesh Considers speaking, weighing every word A sacrifice against the precision of thought. Instead he is silent, each sweet sentence Receding away unspoken like the long rows Of precisely-planted trees, The fuel of reverie.

there will be no spawning here, satan.

This is a pome about cherry blossoms & beetles. Spawning just doesn't enter into it. There are no fish & no porn-site javascript. This is an orderly pome & so an unsuitable environment for spawntaneous sex acts.

is lucehfyr the feminist spelling of satan? are you a she-devil? Even if you tempt me for 40 days & nights I ain't taking my pants off. You'll have to go spawn with little_big_nose. Big refers to his actual nose, little refers to...well I'm sure you get the picture. He's an anti-christ, so the two of you should get along well together. And he's very good at spawning, with words. Oh wait, that was spewing. Well, of course, spawning generally does consist of a sort of spewing type behaviour. I'm sure he'd be good at it. I mean, when your metaphorical nose is so little in comparison to your real nose that you feel compelled to memorialize the contrast in your internet nickname, spewing is probably the only sort of spawning to which you have recourse.

Good night, she-satan. I wish you luck in your quest to find someone/thing to spawn with.
