The world (Free verse) by hamgurl

The world is no longer safe I tell you because I care You got to treat each day like your last Because who knows when you won't be there. These days you can't sit outside Or even leave your car You can't have too much freedom Because you're scared to leave your kids too far You have to clutch your purse When its dark you have to walk fast And you can't ever leave your keys in your car When you're about to buy gas Your kids can't play on the lawn Or even walk down the street They can't accept candy from strangers You even have to be careful what you eat You got to be careful who you have in your car And who you ride when and where Sometimes the only way to be safe Is to act like you don't even care We can no longer protect people Because you never know who's next Some people believe its a curse Or maybe some kind of hex But its just pure evil Simple loud and clear So hold on to your valuables And especially your loved ones Cause you never know whats near.

sliver, in a little wisconsin town in the 50's a man called Ed Gein killed old women and wore their skins, among other things. Kids are being abducted in all sorts of communities. Wake up and rub the sparkles out of your eyes, the small towns have their dirty secrets too.
