waking up to fucking reality (Free verse) by d35

Weak eyed, Her skin red and weary form The pain that drips down her cheeks. A slight tremble in her lips and fingers as misery is wiped away, She wasn't sure if it was a miserable manifesting truth That a stranger brought to her. Claming to be a friend, And helps to wipe away what she sees as tears. She screamed on the inside and yet everyone heard it, She couldn't comprehend why this was, The reality she had woken up to. Her sheets were beginning to moist, as she lay awake, in what seem to be a nightmare, Though her family was there she couldn't be more scared. Fearful of a future with out a soul that would lead her across the road, Now she stands in the middle of a road with no one to hold her hand, Rain hammering down on her as she stands and no one notices, There are plenty of hands to take a place, but not a soul, She stands there hoping not to walk either side, Just waiting for fate to strike her down like love.
