Idiot Box (Lyric) by thepinkbunnyofdoom

Its another friday night I'm all alone again No one else is home I could really use a friend Someone to pull me free From the grip of the t.v. And those lives that are make believe With their false realities Where the guy always gets the girl Whats wrong with the real world? The glow of the t.v. is my only friend It helps me to, to pretend That i'm not all alone Sitting by the phone Waiting for you to call Pretending i don't miss you at all Again into the Idiot box i stare Why should you care? Its doesn't matter whats on I'll watch it anyway Anything to distract my mind Take me far away It doesn't matter whats on the screen Its you and me in every scene You say that you love me But thats just another one of my fantasies Another stupid lie and sooner or later you'll see Reality will catch up with me The glow of the t.v. is my only friend It helps me to, to pretend That my lifes not that bad That i'm not all that sad That i'm not all alone Sitting by the phone Wishing that you'd call Pretending i don't miss you at all

The only two things linking that song with Idiot Box are That thry both say T.V., and Screen(linking them by their radiance). Plus that I wrote it when I was at A church camp. Other than that Nadda. This song looks familer to me. Is it DC Talk or the News Boys that wrote that?

P.S. on a side note Dark Angel (and yes I know he hates that I don't do the -=_=- thing) was not very entertained by this poem.
