Esperanza (Free verse) by Fear of Garbage

What i remember most. Yellow Spiders. A Garden on Gods-Hill. She is a child and a poet and every girl before she grows up; Esperanza, Esperanza and detachment, Esperanza and the peach tree that droops its weight. The rocks she uncovers unearth the light and bury the dark, out come her little Yellow Spiders with all their wings clipped off. The crackle of the dead garden, the color, the spider wings, the weight she bears, she bears it in the garden on Gods-Hill.

you come up with when you post
your poetry,
you insipid, unoriginal waif.
you already make me want to take
a hot iron to my face.
