the price of success (Free verse) by brazen

nightmares haunt your sleep as you dream your days away masking all you fears partial to moving, never stay planning your next move eyeing up your corporate prey. pads of paper and various pens projects daunt your daily life computer hum and glowing screen distract you from your wife recruited by the poisoned dollar morals but exist to create strife. apply your mask each day to mimic every face in the sea all you are is a pattern carved out of your own misery lost to the grip of green greed a menace for eternity. still found time to spawn your children mock you in rebellion resentful of their absent home artist daughter, gay son ultimate sacrafice of economy since you never learned to love one. too old to keep your pace kicked out by the young blood trained them in your ways they covered you in empathic mud home now more to find to your wife, simple crud. stubborn tumor calls to you saying its time to go dying in a hospital bed yet no one seems to know they aren't coming around for this you died years before, end of show.

I could really understand where you were coming from with this, its very good I like the point it makes about us all being 'fabric cyborgs' on the road to success with a free stopover at a town called failure. We do immerse ourselves in the plasma screens of misery and repetitiveness. This is groundhog day of pain, a head on collision resulting from death on the international highway on the road to hell, a million and one things can be said, sad very sad state of existence and you said it very well -10-
