Alchemy (Free verse) by Anemone

[] Alchemy They said her brew was of a different sort They said she was a heathen When they became well They forgot, it was her brew that healed them She would stand watching, chanting words quietly As they breathed the scent, That lent themselves so sweetly, The herbs she mixed herself From potions upon her shelf For their well-being She was the one of ancient times Forgotten as the brainchild Of curatives sustaining life That started the world of healing Maria? I like the concept; the rhythm could use some work. trying to be too dramatic.
