Shipwrecked... (Free verse) by LovingWhispers

Held captive in the caverns Of the darkness that surrounds Like a shadow raged and hungered For love of self, not found Sands of time fall endlessly Slipping through these hands Held but for a moments grace Then gone from where I stand Carried on a passing breeze Scattered across the sea To fall and sink so far beneath Waters blue, then back to me Rolling in on tides of tears Crashing on the shore A part of me,the discarded piece Shipwrecked here once more Ever searching for completeness Wandering, as though asleep Praying down upon my knees For a love that I may keep Lonely beachtown, sandy shores Hear my soft spoken plea Caress the depths of my soul Deliver acceptance here to me
