Navel Action (Free verse) by BadPoet

Have you ever made a mirror thing To look inside your navel? You'll need some tube, some mirrors, string Some sticky stuff and one more thing A handy kitchen table. . Just cut the tube to make a 'U' Then simply fix the mirrors, glue Them firmly, maybe tie with string And there we are! That's everything There's nothing else to do. . You use it like a periscope To peer inside and help you grope Around to see what's hiding there. There's awesome junk and lots of hair And little lumps of soap. . Now! If you're carelessly inclined There's some thing you might bear in mind Be cautious please, DON'T poke too far. And find yourself a small jam jar To hold the things you find. . I caught in mine a crumb of toast But really, what I liked the most Some talc, a feather, tons of fluff, A toenail and some gooey stuff. It's interesting in there.

Playful but ultimately acerebral.
