The whistle blows to start the game We look into the eyes of the other team I can see that they want to win But we have more hunger than they do I have the ball and I'm drilling the ball towards the net They can't stop me All I can see is the goalie and the big white net I take my foot back and aim My foot finally comes in contact with the ball I watch it soar through the air I hear it hit the net I scored and the crowed went wild I felt a great jolt of energy The energy gave me the power to do it all again Someone pushes me down hard to the ground There is no whistle I'm fired up and angry But I get right back up and begin my chase after the ball all over again Finally the three blows of the whistle I had been waiting for

Yeah, you guys have too many sporting resources for the rest of us to compete. Over here funding for sports facilities hasn't been ideal recently, hence the fact that we pin all our hopes at major tournaments on a few individuals.
I ought to visit the States sometime, one of my housemates is half American and raves about Florida; personally I'd love to see the Great Plains and the Lakes (particularly Superior). But that won't happen for a while yet.
With regards to the sport: at least we have the cricket. You'll never beat us at cricket! God bless the Ashes.
