Lonely Night (Lyric) by faded

A lonely night, so far from here; a dark and distant land, a desolate place, an empty space the refuge of the damned A lonely soul wanders the plains, he trudges through the rain he struggles on, his dreams all gone, there's nothing left but pain A lonely mind can barely think of what he has become, all is dead inside his head his world has come undone A lonely heart beats deep inside a slumping, weakened chest, as the beat slows, the poor man knows he cannot meet this test The night is young but he is old his time has surely come, he cannot hide his shattered pride his body feels numb He slowly stops, he cannot go on no longer can he fight, he holds back tears, and faces fears to join the lonely night.

I just hear the flipping Brian or Bryan Adams song in my head, "Baby, I just can't stand another lonely night, so come over and save me...." and on and on. Plus, this poem is full of tender hearted cliches.
