Last Call (Lyric) by thepinkbunnyofdoom

While you were looking westward I was thinking and across the Atlantic And this this virus written on my lips Will be the death of me The toxins that I've been drinking Like water or maybe wine Are starting a war on my insides And I can only watch, As the gunshots Tell of a battle for higher ground Looking back I once served in a similar campaign Celebrated with a wedding ring And glasses of cheap champagne But was before they found the shrapnel Lodged deep within my chest As the pistons pumping fuel To my extremities began to rust The pressure failed and the color faded from my face You said that I was dying and sure as the sunset I was inclined to agree So as we recall these delicate foot falls Known as the waltz of simple conversation Just remember I have these damn weak knees So please look away as the rot falls from my tongue I'm tired of stitching up stab wounds with barb wire bandages Fever on the march While I'm on the run One last call for redemption So don't look so surprised to see me here On my knees, hands clasped together
