MEANinglessness (Free verse) by lmp

ever come so forking close but miss by a mile? i guess you dont really come as close as you think you do, then. funny (oh how HILARIOUS) the way one's perspective can alter reality, skew what we see to be what we believe. and then there are those pop-up roadblocks, the unforseen conditions, spectres that come to light only when you feel safe, like the ugly pimple on the tip of your nose on prom night. the worst part is the powerlessness you have over the meaninglessness. after all, why not kick yourself now that you're down? that way, you wont ruin a perfectly GOOD day later on. one little pizzant after another. i honestly feel that in the way of every good intention founded on hard work and intelligence stands a multitude of ingnorant, malicious, mulish, lazy people whose sole purpose seems to be to obstruct your progress. for every one that you find a way around or topple with your cleverness, for every one whose bluff you call, there are a plethora ready to leap in to block the minute fissure that streams in a ray of hope, the light at the end of the tunnel.

I think you have a good idea for what a prose poem should be. I think this one just needs more ambience.
