One (Free verse) by rahson_s

While sterilized momentarily depression invaded the time, all were unhappily reminded of their brand new surroundings, grounded in debt, the impression left was dreadful enough to break stride, even children were on their knees with hands out, not mature enough to understand the world in which they live, a culture of people taken by missionary force, unable to break free, their cries heard in the whisper of the night, throughout the north side of the South Bronx, where the Hispanics too inhale the same misery most tried to deny for the past 450 years, but prayer overruled each beating, sending hope of progression to the people that no longer can one race dominate, be dominated or separated for the rest to be equal
