I Can't Believe He Killed Her (Free verse) by jessicazee

The frown on your face, long day, hard day, a rift with your dad? Then today in the paper I read a little Metro headline: “Man Arrested in Death of Woman” I think thanks for telling me before it broke, 99? The hundredth homicide of the year, a girl breaking up so gently, so slowly, her chops slighted so quickly. I see her family photo from TV all the time, just washed her hair and so fake, the happy! Someone please help your sister, don’t trust the flowers, the “sorry”s, the ghosts cannot talk, a letter you could not send should be writ, a seatbelt, that one last call.

And maybe he didn't. The sister coming along late in the poem - ok, but confusing. Comma after "I think." Good overall.
