A Love in the Distance (Free verse) by kristenk69lover

A love in the distance... It's so hard to live without his touch, A simple kiss or hug from him, And not being able to look into his eyes. To say, "I love you," And to comfort him when he is down, And has trouble getting back up again. When will this distance go away? When will he be able to hear what I say, Without talking on the phone? When will my hurting subside, And when will we both stop being alone? I know it hurts you, But you have to be strong! If we get through this and love each other just as much as we do right now, Our love will be lifelong. I love you, Baby, Even though we're so very far apart. Always remember that I love you. You hold the key to my heart.

It's funny. There are so many things about this poem that make me want to stab myself repeatedly in the thigh with a bread knife, but they all fade into insignificance when compared to the awful, sucking horror that is your use of upper-case 'B' in 'Baby'. You. Are. Not. Special. Indeed, if your dull, sappy, content-free poetry is any indication, your most outstanding feature is your complete lack of any outstanding features. And so sayeth -=Jesu=-.
