Impotently Informed (Free verse) by cuddlytiger17

Choking down penitent sobs As the rain falls down Creating ripples in a near perfect portrait. Hyperventilating in paper bags As the flood drowns All of those, disadvantaged. Stifling frantic screams As the wind whips through Another desolate, drafty house. Clenching cold, white fists As the wolf forever stalks The pure, innocent rabbit. Masking faces of distress As hail releases its fury Upon anything unsheltered. Silencing a wildly beating heart Through the calamity Of an indefinite destruction. Knowing and discerning all, Appearing apathetic in existence.

A nice read, and definetely full of empathy. The turmoil we call life can cause a sense of longing, but it's the syntax, the breaking sun from the clouds, that lets us know this has happened so many times.
