I have Learned to Let Go (Free verse) by Joe-joe

I have learned to let go And only now have firm command For what I thought would suddenly flee Stayed tranquilly instead in open hand I have learned to let go And all those fears have gone astray Sworn as they once were In lost thought that no longer hold sway I have learned to let go And now see you in proper tone As visions give way to you in true flesh And I for once am no longer alone

It's always a time for celebration, the day you finally become housebroken. For what you once thought would suddenly flee, is now under firm command. You've learned to let go, my son. It's a lesson that will stay with you for many years to come, until, of course, you become an elderly. Here's to life, love, and the unpampered pursuit of happiness.
