the monster (Free verse) by oneglove

pieced together and given life in the moment of truth, was there regret? behind outward beauty slept a monster there was never an intention of rebellion no plans for the creation to leave his home there was shelter there sanctuary from the dangers beyond but he took flight and stepped into a world he could not comprehend good intentions went awry and a heart of love caused death too much unknown, too little understood when creation met creator, a conflict they could not see eye to eye through threats and demands creator held firm overall good outweighed short sighted gain rage over took the beast he vowed vengeance on his maker and he turned away alone he wandered the wilderness in solitude he met his demise let us turn to You, oh Father return to our home before it’s too late keep us safe from this world a world You never intended us to see amen

I think it's sad no one has pointed out that the parallels between Dr. Frankenschmiel and his creation and God and his creation ARE THE WHOLE FUCKING POINT of Mary Shelley's famous novel The Hopeless Adventures of Dr. Frankenschmiel. You all fail.
