She empties me, so carefully, with her saddest smile come autumn. She folds me gently with regret, and sets me softly in her soul. Such a warm repose from winter. She lays me just aside, for when the birds come back again.

You are - though they did actually make the mistake once of publishing a poem called "The Silent Scream" in an anthology entitled "Mind Mutations".
