Pride (Free verse) by Dovina

Sometimes the way my mother looks at me, I feel she knows more than she says. For, though there are times I long to creep in to her in the night And talk about love, and cry, I’m glad I never have. About such matters, a daughter should have pride And settle for knowing she knows.

'Creep in to her in the night"
Into her room or back to the uterus?
"And settle for knowing she knows" possibly
"And settle for knowing she knows more."
Does this change what you are saying or make it clearer? -8- maybe a -10- if I were not confused by those two lines.
