Reaction: Photo-Hung Over the Euphrates (Free verse) by eyrbare

God, I never knew a body could bend like that A marionette, caught on the rafters Played like a fool The right leg hangs down, bent at the knee touching what is left of an arm, perhaps it's the elbow. Forming a square a window, framing the heavens Cold and black. The chest is brown The rest like coal. Cold and black. The teeth, white, gaping, polished as the soul fled the fire enveloping it, screaming its way out.

Wonderfully put, and I think that repeating "cold and black was perfect. *9*
