Window poems (Free verse) by kawakurdi
1
Last night you tossed your little wings
And from the window of a little dream
You sneaked into the left side of my heart.
You didn't utter anything.
Your lips were singed.
You didn't tell me who had set them on fire.
You, the tame dove!
How much your little eyes are fond of sadness.
Put your ears against my breath.
Teach this hot song to the forest.
Let the trees rehearse it together
When the snows fall.
2
I wonder what a step, what a look
Can put me in your eyes
Which magic window
Is open towards your heart
I wish I knew where you went in your dreams
I would stand on your way and take you in my arms!
If you have lost yourself
Come, come
Look at this door on which your name has been engraved:
This is my heart!
It is your home if you accept it.
Stay here just for a night.
Tomorrow
With the dawn of the first twilight
Toll the bell of departure
Set a fire to this city and leave
Don't worry about the rains of the spring
This fire will never abate!

Is your name made of a summer blaze or embers?
Whenever I hear it
It sets my breath on flames
And fills my soul with thirst.
4
I have spared a glass of your looks
For hard times.
I am going to drink it now
This week I shall talk to no one
But my pen.
5
Don't be angry
There is too much time for death
For millions of years
We have been waiting for resurrection.
6
Where do you want to go?
The colours of all the world are in your eyes.
It is my love.
Your capital is time not money or beauty.
Tell me where do you want to go.
Where else you can go?
