A Nightmare (Free verse) by Dreamer

A Nightmare Watch the tears of the mourning. Contemplate each grieving sob. Listen to the cries of agony. Bid a farewell to joy. Water soon reforms to blood, shed with the swift swipe of a knife. Eyes are wide open in terror, revealing a tale of horror. Sounds of sirens echo in the distance. Screams of family die in darkness. Hushed faces terrified, unwilling to accept such inhumanity, unwilling to accept murder. Don't watch the moving oak coffin, holding the lifeless form. Don't contemplate the headstone beyond the fresh soil. Don't listen to the unending mourning. Don't bid farewell to the nightmare, because it never.....ends.

This is rather melodramatic - I'd really get rid of the aposiopoesis at the end.
