Wish I was there... (Free verse) by amanda_dcosta
There doesn’t have to be a touch to feel The pangs of love that gnaw inside my heart There doesn’t have to be your smell to tease My senses wishing we were not apart I do not have to hear your voice to know That everything is right and you’re okay Or wait for stolen moments to spend time With you from day to every passing day I know I don’t have to do anything To convince you I believe our love’s for real Nor be obligated to have you part Of everything I do; no big ordeal But I want to; it's a choice I’ve made So you see what your loving me has done You make me want to fly across to you Not just my heart but life with you as one.

Up the ladder: On Our Watch
Down the ladder: Rats

this belongs on a hallmark card. it feels like you could use some minor tweaking in the language, but for what it is, i think it's pretty good.
