I've lost my poetic edge (Free verse) by thepinkbunnyofdoom

I can't seem to find it That sense of motovation The drive I've had for most of my life Sure I still see things in a poetic view But I don't know Maybe its just writers block Possibly loss of insperation But whatever it is.. I've been sleeping at night Which should tell you something is wrong I haven't been smoking half as many cigarettes I'm not sitting around thinking Feeling lonely or rejected What scares me most Is that this isn't like me I haven't picked up a guitar in ages Much less howled in furious rage My skin no longer feels like my prison Nor do words flow from my pen Scares me to say it, But I've lost my poetic edge

Usually, one must possess something in order to lose it. Glad to see you bucking trends. Maybe what you thought was a poetic edge was actually a ruptured strawberry flavored condom, and now your face is pregnant?
