Replying to a comment on:
From ugly ducklin' to swan (Other) by horus8
This used to be an ugly piece
of poignant slander aimed at Margaret
Something or other, but that bored
me, so I'm going to change it into
a beautiful letter to an Italian
book collector friend of mine.
He is in need of some prompting
to get out of his house and travel
to California for a change of pace.
He needs the conversation of a tender
young poet of my ilk and nature &
deserves a fetching young man to bear
on a crooked arm. That would be me.
Because, I am a dandy.
Dear Raimondo;
I was hoping to meet you this Summer,
and I hope that liaison is still possible.
Thank you again, for that Cd rom Encyclopedia
of male homosexual poetry throughout history.
It comes in handy when bickering with the more
talented of my peers in certain poetic spheres.
That are well endowed, no pun intended,
with knowledge in that specific area of writing.
A good way to hone my gay blade, so to speak.
The weather has been just lovely, and right now my
son is watching Tom & Jerry and I am in my Capt's
chair poised for phonecalls, poetry, and lunch.
If I could just talk someone into bringing it to me.
David, gave me an airconditioner, and boy is that
fucking thing a dinosaur, but it's working, and it
feels good for a change in here. Not that there
isn't a pleasent breeze blowing most of the time.
It's just that it has been hotter than normal as of late.
The only benefit of the weather change is that my
Gardenia bush has bloomed, and I love gardenias.
So I brought some flowers inside and floated them
in a bowl of water by a fan. Now my house smells
just heavenly. I'm sure you can imagine.
The smell of Jasmine is really thick these days
outside also. Dave, has turtle ponds,
and all of his turtles are lounging around
like a bunch of over fed politicians.
Anyway, I hope you are feeling well, and behaving.
Perhaps, when we get together in the future you
can tell me more about your book collection &
what writings, you think, would help my quest
to be a great poet along.
I bet we could talk for days.
Until then, Ciao Bello.
Yours Truly,
Jeremi B. Handrinos.
