I've listened and I've pondered One word after another Banging at my raw and aching ears Forever the incessant opinions that you reflect upon And you know what? I never care I won't care And many years from now when I lay dying I may remember your prating But I will expire without an ounce of remorse For your plight For your lifestyle And for your kids Because when I do die I hope they don't bother mine with such petty things
