mistaken in a glance (Free verse) by francis nor capule
sadly, i accept what fate has offered, believing that love would always be true. blindly i would trust you; no questions, no restraints. but doubt would forever follow my heart, that you do feel the same way too. like a silent inferno; waiting, biding. i wish you would take all my fears away, that you would assure me. no fallacies, no more lies; truth, just the truth. for you broke my heart, shattered it into a million shards. yet i still take this chance; may i not be mistaken, in a glance.
