Counts As Living (Free verse) by forsaken
Can't recall ever knowing this kind Of vast emptiness deep inside Not the kind of a broken heart As if never being whole to start Yet every diraction whields a flamour face Still loneliness engulfs this place Day after day watching time drag by Mouth opens but all that develops are sighs Peering curiously in the mirror at what I see Wondeing if even that man might know me Remanding self is my hearts first task Only way I know how is put on a mask Forgetting what once was known as truth Slipping away goes the momories of youth Can't picture the last moments with a sibling Sometimes questioning if this Counts As Living
