Speak... (Free verse) by Skamper
preachers and poets have something to say beggars and spruikers chanting a way designing your mind in speeches you sway repeating - repeating the innocuous beat you slip into step of other’s left feet tapping reminders from lords of the street a sentence re-painted re-colours your life splitting tired lips while fingers run rife cutting up pieces fed from the knife swallow words - cold that once held the heat presenting your tongue their thoughts to complete - and deja vu’s dreaming for somewhere to meet

Up the ladder: Babe TRUTH
