Mississippi Seething. (Lyric) by SupremeDreamer
it's so cold now, as I fold- content though not bold here in this stance between time and memories seen so long ago that they've lost their sheen- feeling like some whore whose left her customer in a motel, flaccid, a bore 'cause my swagging's rancid. [chorus] you could just kill me, hang me like some nigger on an old Mississippi tree, but that would amount to nothing, since I refuse to flee- pointless since you broke my knees- and I won't ever cry "just kill me please" 'cause I'm a stillness you'll never seize. [chorus] it was true that once only few could tolerate my frenzied debate, now I pretend to accept fate- now I'm something worthy of hate an object of your derision that fuels the riot and its confusion leaving you with the eerie sensation of being bought neither cold or hot, I fill you with rot. [chorus] you could just kill me, hang me like some nigger on an old Mississippi tree, but that would amount to nothing, since I refuse to flee- pointless since you broke my knees- and I won't ever cry "just kill me please" 'cause I'm a stillness you'll never seize. [chorus] despite everything, my limp form still seems to sing with fury a sound that people wish to bury and forget its heat that 'causes them to sweat with fear, binging on warm glasses of beer unaware that they're consuming me in surrender then denying the cold emptiness of their hunger. [chorus] I die in you and take you with me I die in you and take you with me and you could just kill me, hang me like some nigger on an old Mississippi tree, but that would amount to nothing, since I refuse to flee- pointless since you broke my knees- and I won't cry "just kill me please" 'cause I'm a stillness you'll never seize. [chorus] it's so cold now, as I fold- content though not bold here in this stance between time and memories seen so long ago that they've lost their sheen- feeling like some whore whose left her customer in a motel, flaccid, a bore 'cause my swagging's rancid. [chorus] you could just kill me, hang me like some nigger on an old Mississippi tree, but that would amount to nothing, since I refuse to flee- pointless since you broke my knees- and I won't ever cry "just kill me please" 'cause I'm a stillness you'll never seize dying in you and taking you with me dying in you and taking you with me a nigger on an old Mississippi tree. [chorus]
