The Ultimate Survivor (Free verse) by Joe-joe

Eddie lies suspended in space A neat little egg-shaped vacuum he has carved out for himself Where troubles can not go And men of cloth dare not prey Nudged gently on by a whispering wind That only Eddie can hear Across vast oceans over tiny star-studded islands End-over-end Eddie floats Taking in all the angles and never letting on that he has mastered it all that from his hand those shapes were drawn and that through his simple and indifferent way He has emerged as the world’s greatest survivor.
