See the Sun Overhead and Believe (Lyric) by phbiscuit

So have you counted the stars? Neither have I But I've got a telescope Why not try tonight? If we bottled up these thoughts And launched them to the dark side of the moon Would they come back to us Within our lifetimes? Is this truth that we're feeling As we sit here with our necks Craned so far back when we see the sky And how we can never Grab it no matter How hard we grasp It slips between our fingers And comes out black But if we hold up our hands And block out the stars Then we can count them Because they are no more We are without sight Without ears We've been living deaf and dumb All these years But maybe if we turn out the light We'll see we've been drinking Nothing but a lie So let's clean up this mess and Drink from this bottle From when they counted all the stars In an instant and found That there are no more than we imagine Because what we feel is more real Than anything we can see I'll pass the truth And you'll take a sip You'll hand it back And I'm gonna drink until I pass out With my neck craned so far back That when I wake up I'll see the sun overhead And believe the stars have exploded

This is great, i can see the symbolism and the social relevance of the poem if we would dig deeper from it's content. It's true we're deaf, blind and dumb somehow living in this universe.
