My Castle (Other) by Cougarchic

In my castle a girl sit alone in the darkness Shrouded in a cloud of mist Building the walls ever thicker Despite all appearances my castle is not what it seems From afar my castle appears to be a jolly, happy place But if you come closer you will see a castle ready for war Both are real but only a part of what lies within Inside my castle lies a scared little girl Silently she hopes Hopes someone will tear down the castle wall Tear it down before it grows too thick But she is afraid of what lies outside those walls Afraid of what might happen if the walls were to crumble Afraid of the pain she might endure There are hundred of people with castles like mine They might just be too frightened to say So if you find a castle like mine Shine a light in the window and see if they will let you in See if they will let you tear down the walls But be gentle while you tear them down They might not want to face the world just yet
