Easy Way Out (Free verse) by Blindproject217

No longer must I feed from this trough, That so inadequately meets my needs. A mundane lifestyle comes to a halt. My days of indecision have ended with a question An inquiry pending upon tomorrow Balancing on the thread of future existence Is this soul stronger than the forces around me? Will I break under the thought of fear? Had I but asked myself these thoughts first, I would have stayed locked inside my mind. For I am afraid, Afraid of what may be, What may take place Afraid of change Not knowing how to meet tomorrow, If tomorrow meets me on my way. So I?ll close my eyes, Silence my broken soul, What may be, will And start again on the other side.
