To the Sea (Free verse) by timfowler

Elemental: judge me unwise, I hope for the breaking of tides deeper and unblessed from the salt-crust lips, stinging at the kiss of the waves. Faithless: call me believer for in the swell I find currents, emotions, untested by light filtered, the palest green ghosts haunting the narrow shore. Swimmer: sense the sand-bar falling from reach to reach, grains tumbling, fingers failing to clutch the precious seconds of wave crests' passing bliss.

While you, Sir, may hope for the breaking of tides deeper and unblessed from the salt-crust lips, I hope merely for the breaking of wind richer and unsmelt from the brown-crust cheeks. Good day.
