Echoes (Free verse) by malakin

Captivating minstrel fills the night with magic as friends share time and laughter and each forget themselves for a while. Somewhere nearby a last breath slips past slightly part lips, chapped and swollen and a first breath explodes with a cry and frail little hands grasp at swirling shadows and echoes of Pain and echoes of Joy and echoes of Loss and Love and Fear and Peace dance on the wind, but in this place, all is set aside for a temporary time as the minstrel makes her song and we each forget ourselves for a while.

yes, thanks, I was driving at the fact that all around us, people are experiencing their own lives, even while we, perhaps, avoid ours in a pub, or the like.. just an observation.
