City Streets (Free verse) by greym0on

City Streets Do you believe in city streets- With lights so bright, they blind the eye? Or from a distance, a million blinking yellows and others- reveal a certain night? But I believe in city streets- The truth rings hard within those lights- And no one stops to pity or admire- No face of kindness looks out from the crowd. In city streets we learn survival- How solitary the human life is. We do not stop to smell the roses, but pause only to stare out the window- at the glowing lights- the blinking movement- and the bitterness- of the city streets- below. 1995

More color. Has a "New Yorky" feeling to it. You're in the right place. Welcome.
