HIGHER (Free verse) by Radiation

I'm almost there I can see the gate awaiting me. Then I remember all the lies and torments I had provoked the people in my life, and I start falling... I'm rising again. I can see the halos shinning so bright. Then I start to hink about all the sins I've done and commited. I'm starting to fall again... I'm going up once again. I can see the big, beautiful clouds awaiting to be seen trough. Then I think to myself, Am I worthy enough to go into Heaven? I start falling again this time faster. All I can do is pray and hope that... Before I can do anymore, I knew were i was. There was no more laughs, no more light, no more anything. I knew where I was now, theres no more I can do... I'm in hell and this is my eternal afterlife!

The poeme suggests a postmodern analysis of the metaphysical limits of contemporary binary logic; through the title we can see that the afterlife is indeed a higher plane of existence, but the dread Halls of Mandos can only be accessed through an infinite fall. The implication of such spiritual reverse gravity is at once fascinating and haunting; this hauntology is similar to a certain exploration of Marxist theory and, for all its wonder, is bow'ls.
