Solace (Lyric) by Miggy

In the light of all the happiness I have yet to find a way It’s like I’m looking for some solace While everyone else is in May There is so much I need to live for Yet aggravation is not in the set And I just need to feel warm After being with the coldest people I ever met (Chorus) If memories past by faster than day and night If random moments could not turn into fright If I have found my way back to stability Then there is someone out there meant for me I am not the first person to think like this Just another case in the jar And if I achieve my longed-for solace Others can recover just as far There is so much I need to live for Yet frustration is not in the set And I just need to feel so warm From being with the coldest people that I ever met (Chorus) There aren’t many who would listen to this story But it’s not like their tales are that different And if we all seek some comforting Then we will find out justice in the end (Chorus/Ending)

There's a hint of Harry Chapin in here, but not much. He'd have turned this into a proper story rather than a drawn-out moan. The first line has promise, Chapin-esque, but the rest loses that.
