Racial Hate (Free verse) by Glasseyez

Black or white and red all over Blood is red and knows no color Skin black or white or yellow, brown This liquid always finds the ground Race is only skin deep so why is it that we Use it to judge each and every person we meet Blood has one color and our hearts do too That is red only changing when we are dead In which we return from the dust we came No man is different we are all the same….. Stop using race to fuel your rage.

Racial identity is a nessesary factor in identifying ones cultural compatibility, yes, because lets say you were white and you were in a situation where you had to choose between a group of caucasians and a group of inner city black people. Of course you would choose the group of caucasians because it is a group that you can visibly relate to. That isn't the issue. Racism though is the ignorance of the fact that you are both of the same species, you both have feelings, and you both have compassion for others. Some people do lack compassion and those are generally bad people, but by condemning an entire group of people because you saw one muslim blow himself up, or another gang shooting on the news is very easy but it is not right. It is up to everyone to stop classifying people as good or bad and just try and relate to the things that we do share. It might be more than you think.
