Light (Free verse) by Quarton

Light, on a summer night; chased by a child whose hand reaches out--captures the light. Opens her hand; the glowfly blinks, then flies away. In a far away galaxy, a giant star implodes. Like the glowfly, its light goes out; infinite density the strange result. The end of light, like the end of time. A black hole remains, incapable of flight. Child's hand closed, like gravity implied, the glowfly's freedom forever denied.

Thanks for the read. I changed mammouth to giant and it is a glowfly, not a gladfly which I somehow bungled. Also changed explode to implode which is what a supernova does prior to becoming a black hole.
